Why did you originally choose to study abroad in Oxford, England? I wanted to study abroad in England since high school, as my dad had always spoken fondly of his time at the London School of Economics.

What have you been up to since graduation? I completed my PhD in economics over a year ago now, and have published half a dozen peer-reviewed papers in energy economics, econometrics and labor economics.

What lessons or skills did you learn from studying abroad that you still think about today or still impact you today on your current path? I became a better writer at Oxford.

One memory from abroad that still feels like it happened yesterday: Going to the Iffly Road Sports Complex (where Roger Bannister ran a sub-4-minute mile) every other day.

Your message to students thinking about studying abroad: DO IT!

“I wanted to study abroad in England since high school, as my dad had always spoken fondly of his time at the London School of Economics.”
