Application Fees
Applying Electronically (preferred method)
A $75 application fee is required of all students who apply online. You will be prompted to pay via credit card or electronic check immediately after submitting your application. Applications will not be reviewed by the graduate admission committee until your fee has been received and processed.
Applying via Hard-Copy/Paper Application
Please note that we strongly prefer applications to be submitted electronically. A $75 application fee is required of all students that apply via hard-copy or paper. Once the information from your paper application has been entered into the application system, you will receive an email from our office prompting you to pay the application fee. Applications will not be reviewed by the graduate admission committee until your fee has been received and processed.
Fee Waivers
Current or former members of the following populations/affiliations are eligible for fee waivers:
If you think your current, unique circumstances warrant an application fee waiver, please send a paragraph explaining your extenuating circumstances to Stephanie Hunt at stephaniehunt@brandeis.edu. This paragraph should be emailed before you apply online; applications submitted without payment will not be reviewed by the graduate admission committee. Please note that fee waivers are approved on a case-by-case basis.
- Unemployment or under-employment without documentation of government assistance
- Currency exchange rates for those residing abroad
