Summer Grant Writing Group

The Mellon Foundation and ACLS just announced an exciting new $40,000+ fellowship for PhD students who are still developing projects, called the Dissertation Innovation Fellowship program. Proposed projects could include things like "digital methods training, a short-term practicum with a think-tank or social justice organization to develop experience with applied methods, and/or site-based research involving community-engaged or collaborative approaches."

Jonathan Anjaria has organized a summer discussion and writing group focused on developing ideas and proposals. Thirty graduate students from History, Anthropology, English, Music, and Sociology signed up to attend four 1.5-hour sessions.
