You can direct questions about a specific graduate program to the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) or the Academic Administrator for that program.

The university has some fellowships and grants available for current graduate students and resources about finding grants and fellowships from other external sources.

Each Department appoints a graduate student as the Graduate Department Representative (GDR) who helps to facilitate communication between students, faculty and the Graduate School. See a list of current GDRs.

If you are traveling 100 miles or further from campus to study or conduct university business (including research trips), you are automatically covered by Brandeis's group travel assistance through Zurich Insurance Company. While this is not meant to replace health insurance while abroad, it does provide emergency medical services and assists with emergency evacuations. Full-time students need to enroll or waive their insurance every year. International students are automatically enrolled. The current cost of student health insurance is $3,632 for the year (8/15/22-8/14/23). The GSAS Professional Development team is the campus resource for career and professional development support for GSAS students. The Professional Development team provides various kinds of support for graduate students' career development goals.

The Student Health Center provides a range of health services for graduate students. Students can also access mental health services through the Brandeis Counseling Center.

Many GSAS students ask us questions about state and federal taxes. Brandeis University and its staff are not permitted to give tax advice.
