Brandeis International Business School earns AACSB accreditation
WALTHAM, Mass. – Brandeis International Business School today announced that it has earned accreditation for its degree programs by AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. All four of its programs were accredited: the MBA, Master of Arts in International Economics and Finance, Master of Science in Finance, and PhD. Additionally, an MBA program offered by the university’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management and jointly administered by Brandeis International Business School was included in the accreditation.
Jehuda Reinharz, President of Brandeis University commented, “For the Brandeis International Business School to have achieved accreditation in such a short time is impressive. It underscores the school’s dedication to excellence in global business education.”
To achieve accreditation, business programs must satisfy the expectations of a wide range of quality standards relating to strategic management of resources, the interaction of faculty and students in the educational process, and the achievement of learning goals in degree programs. These standards are linked to the mission of the institution.
“We are delighted AACSB International has recognized that the educational experience being delivered by our faculty is of such high quality,” said Marty Wyngaarden Krauss, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Brandeis.
During the accreditation process, Brandeis International Business School was visited and evaluated by a team of highly respected business school deans with detailed knowledge of management education, who assessed its performance against accreditation standards widely accepted in the educational community.
Bruce Magid, dean of Brandeis International Business School said, “Earning this accreditation reflects the professionalism of our faculty and staff; it is also the result of the support and guidance we receive from our advisory boards.”
