Global Trade Summit focus: Brazil, India, Israel, Turkey
Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick to deliver keynote speech April 3
What happens when you take top leaders from business, government and academia, and put them in a room together to exchange ideas about how to succeed in global markets?
An answer may emerge on Tuesday, April 3, when more than 30 experts take part in a series of in-depth business sessions at the second annual Global Trade Summit at Brandeis International Business School. This year’s conference will give special attention to Brazil, India, Israel and Turkey.
The summit, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Levin Ballroom, is intended to serve as a forum through which companies can identify and take advantage of international business opportunities.
Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick will be the keynote speaker. Other participants include EMC Senior Vice President Joel Schwartz, Kronos CEO Aron Ain, and representatives from the Massachusetts Export Center and the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment.
Business school Dean Bruce R. Magid represented Brandeis as a member of the governor’s trade mission to Brazil in December. He wrote a piece in the Boston Globe earlier this month about how Massachusetts can build strong business bonds in Brazil.
Last year’s Global Trade Summit drew more than 300 attendees. Take a look at some of the perspectives of participants, as well as an executive summary of the summit.
The 2012 conference sponsors include the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment, Mintz Levin, AIM International Business Council, Massachusetts Export Center, EMC, Global Atlantic Partners LLC, Sovereign/Santander, the Kauffman Foundation, Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, and the U.S. Commercial Service.
Registration is required. For additional information, visit the Global Trade Summit website, call (781) 736-2178 or email.
