Watch: University Professor Anita Hill explains 'Why I Vote'

VoteDeis is a new coalition at Brandeis that aims to make sure eligible university community members register to vote and vote in upcoming elections.

As part of the initiative, VoteDeis asked members of the Brandeis community to explain why they vote, including University President Ron Liebowitz, University Professor Anita Hill, Professor and Nobel Prize winner Michael Rosbash, Jessye Kass ’13, Shayna Weiss ’07, Alex Wicken ’23 and other faculty, staff, students and alumni.

The coalition is made up of students, faculty and staff committed to supporting voter registration and participation among the Brandeis University community. VoteDeis is a non-partisan, campus-wide initiative, organized by the Dean of Students Office and ENACT: The Educational Network for Active Civic Transformation (a program of the International Center for Ethics, Justice and Public Life). Along with the coalition, Brandeis President Ron Liebowitz has signed on to the Higher Education Presidents' Commitment to Full Student Voter Participation Challenge.
