Assembling what he calls his “brain trust,” Provost Steve A.N. Goldstein ’78 named his senior staff and advisers in late January.

Drawing on the wisdom and expertise within the university’s longtime faculty, Goldstein invited to the table:

  • Irv Epstein, the Henry F. Fischbach Professor of Chemistry and a former provost, who will serve as senior adviser to the provost for research;
  • Anita Hill, professor of social policy, law and women’s studies at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management, who will serve as senior adviser to the provost;
  • Robin Feuer Miller, the Edytha Macy Gross Professor of Humanities and a former dean of arts and sciences, who will serve as senior adviser to the provost for faculty;
  • Dan Perlman, associate professor of biology, who will serve as associate provost for assessment and innovation in student learning; and
  • Michaele Whelan, senior lecturer in English, who will continue serving as vice provost for academic affairs.
