Workday Fair

All employees are invited to learn more about the campus move to Workday at the Workday Fair. This is a great opportunity to get a sneak peek of Workday including logging in and viewing your personal information. Come meet members of the team and get your questions answered. Stop by for special giveaways, raffle prizes, refreshments, and more.

The Workday training schedule and registration information will be available the week of February 19. We will notify the community when the schedule is posted and registration is open. Please visit the Workday website to learn more about the project and sign-up for classes.

Network Switch Upgrade Project
Feb. through summer 2019

 ITS has started a campus-wide refresh initiative that will replace over 300 network switches in every building. The upgrade will replace aging hardware equipment to ensure that the thousands of devices that rely upon Brandeis’ networks are able to connect and function properly while improving the campus-wide wired network performance and reliability. ITS will be coordinating the refresh schedule with facilities and administrative staff for each area or quad on campus.

During the scheduled network switch refresh for a designated area, network connectivity for wired and wireless devices will be impacted including campus phones.

Sustainable Brandeis Competition
March 3-March 22

Sustainable Brandeis will be hosting its annual sustainability competition in partnership with SaveOhno.  The goal of SaveOhno is to engage campus members in sustainability efforts who may not be normally active. The competition is open to all Brandeis community members, and runs from Sunday, March 3 through Friday, March 22. Retirement Savings Plan and Website Overview

Preventing Sexual Harassment and Title IX Workshop

The workshop will provide, staff and faculty with the information and tools necessary to recognize, prevent and respond to sexual harassment and sexual assault.  The workshop will incorporate the impact of diversity on these issues and will discuss the role managers, staff and faculty have as responsible employees and will include the most recent legislative changes to Title IX.

  • Tuesday, March 26, Embracing Change: This course will help participants understand what change is, how people tend to respond to it and how you can embrace it as an opportunity for growth and progress.
  • Thursday, April 25, Effective Teamwork Strategies: This course teaches team members how to be more confident and work as part of a highly productive team.
  • Thursday, May 9, Conflict Resolution and Confrontation Management: This course will teach participants the insights needed to become proficient at handling conflicts.

Improved Business Writing Workshop

Learn how to create well-written email messages, memos, reports and other materials. Review ways to enhance the “readability” of your messages and tips to help make email writing faster and easier. Special focus is on seven principles of effective business writing and how to approach a writing task. The workshop will also review aspects of punctuation, grammar and word usage, participants will learn about web resources that can help you further develop your writing skills.
