Helaine B. Allen, P’73, G’13, Fellow, Brandeis National Committee, of Boston and Palm Beach, Florida, on May 22. An accomplished cook known for her dinner parties, she was also a philanthropist, world traveler and bridge player. Survived by four children, including Elizabeth Allen Nash ’73, and six grandchildren, including Sam Allen ’13.

Michel P. Roux, H’91, Fellow, of Palm Coast, Florida, on April 30. A French-born liquor executive, best-known for rebranding Absolut Vodka, he was also an avid supporter of the arts. Survived by wife Kitty and two sons.

Marshall M. Sloane, Friend, of Boston, on April 6. An icon in the Massachusetts banking industry after founding Century Bank, he was dedicated to supporting Jewish organizations and higher education, among other worthy causes. Survived by wife Barbara, three children and many grandchildren.

Burton S. Stern, G’08, Fellow, of Palm Beach, Florida, on April 15. After serving in the U.S. Air Force during WWII, he built an illustrious career in retail, helping to launch Zayre, TJ Maxx and BJ’s Wholesale Club. Survived by wife Barbara; four children; and many grandchildren, including Antony ’08.
