Sequential Degrees
After earning a master's degree, you may choose pursue a second Graduate Professional Studies (GPS) master's degree in a related field.
Admissions application for the second master's degree program must be made within two years of completing the first degree program. While you must satisfy all admissions requirements, transcripts already on file do not need to be resubmitted.
Courses are transferred between different GPS programs (e.g., from software engineering to bioinformatics) under the following policy:

Students may transfer no more than three GPS graduate-level courses from the first to the second-master's degree program.
Students considering the sequential degree opportunity are strongly encouraged to seek program advising early in the process to assure proper course selection and create an academic path.
