Accessibility Statement
At Brandeis University, we believe information on the web should be available to all people, regardless of physical or developmental abilities and impairments.
As a result, digital content at the university is developed and implemented to be broadly inclusive. We strive to achieve the Level AA success criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, which have been developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). To meet this goal, Brandeis is taking the following steps to improve the accessibility of all websites and web applications developed for the university:
- A complete redesign of all university web templates, keeping accessibility as a consideration throughout the planning and development process.
- Accessibility training for content developers and editors.
- Training that raises the campus community’s awareness of the purpose of web accessibility and its best practices.
- Whenever possible, the remediation of earlier templates still in use.
If you have questions about web accessibility at Brandeis or would like additional assistance, please email webaccessibility@brandeis.edu. If you want to find out more about accessibility support for students, please visit the Student Accessibility Support website.
