After Registration
After registering for a GPS course, there are a few follow-up steps.
1. Set up your UNet account.
New GPS students will receive an email from Library and Technology Services with instructions for setting up your UNet username and account. It is very important for you to set up your account as soon as possible. Your UNet username is your login for many Brandeis systems, including SAGE and LATTE, and also serves as your Brandeis email address, which is our primary means of communication with students. If you do not receive an email with instructions to set up your UNet username within 24 hours after enrollment, please contact us.
2. If needed, request an itemized statement.
Students will receive a registration confirmation email and a financial statement by mail. If you need a more specific letter for reimbursement purposes, please complete the online Request Itemized Statement form.
3. Check your LATTE course approximately one week before classes begin.
4. Purchase your textbooks.
5. Check SAGE for your classroom locations (campus courses).
6. Await waitlist status, if applicable.
If you would like to enroll in a course that is currently full, you can be placed on the waitlist. It is not a guarantee for enrollment. The week before classes begin, we review courses with waitlists and offer any open seats to those on the waitlist, in the order in which registrations were processed. Students are given 24 hours to decide whether or not to take the seat. We will contact students on the waitlist by phone and email. If you are offered a seat off the waitlist, GPS staff will manually enroll you in the course and payment is due within 24 hours.
After the class begins, we will no longer offer seats to students on the waitlist.
7. Explore our student resources.
After registering for a course, be sure to take some time to review our Student Resources, including policies and procedures, course-related resources, campus resources and LATTE resources.
8. Get ready for a great semester.
We hope that you enjoy your course(s), and we welcome your feedback.
