Registration Overview

Students may register for GPS courses before applying for admission and matriculating in a master's degree program.

Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. If the number of registrations exceeds the number of available seats, a waitlist will be established. Students on a waitlist will be notified if space becomes available. A student who remains on a waitlist cannot attend class.

Payment

See the Financial Information pages for current tuition and fees.

Registration must be accompanied by full payment, including the non-refundable Late Registration fee and Course Materials fee (if applicable), to be considered complete. Students will be sent a financial statement as confirmation of payment and registration. Please keep this for your financial and/or tax records. Students will be charged $15 for a replacement copy.

Late Registration

Students may register late, on a space-available basis, during week prior to the first week of classes (late registration period). A $70 late registration fee will be assessed for all late registrations. Late registration cannot be performed online; it must be done either in-person or by mail or fax. Late enrollments are not accepted beyond the late registration period.

Withdrawal/Dropping a Course

During the regular registration period, students may drop, add and swap courses online through SAGE. Once a term is underway, students can drop a course at any time up through the ninth class meeting or the ninth week of a DL course. A Drop Form is required. Please review the Add/Drop pages for more details, including the refund schedule. Please note that Late Registration fees and Course Material fees are non-refundable.

Three Courses

While we typically suggest that students take no more than two courses in a given term, students may request to enroll in an additional third course. Students may only register for two courses through SAGE, and a third course must be approved and processed by GPS staff. Please use the Full-Time Student Request Form to request to take three courses (9 credits). Requests must be received during the regular registration period, and will be reviewed by the GPS staff.  If a request is approved, you will receive an email directing you to contact the GPS office with your additional course selections, along with the required immunization and insurance forms.

Students who would like to register for three courses in a single term must include adequate proof of immunization against measles, mumps, rubella, and tetanus-diphtheria during the registration period. Proof of health insurance coverage is required before attending the first class session.

Please read our complete Policies and Procedures before enrolling in classes.
