Join a very special group of professional, artistic, and community leaders from across the United States for a dynamic series of summer institutes and symposia offered in the Berkshires by Brandeis University. Ranked one of the most influential private research universities in the country for the creation of new knowledge, Brandeis relocates select members of its internationally-renowned faculty from Waltham, Massachusetts, to the pastoral and enriching setting of the Berkshires for prestigious institutes and select programs.
World-class Thinkers
Brandeis faculty are world class thinkers, and many are members of the top three scholarly societies in America, namely the national Academy of Science, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Three members of the faculty are recent recipients of the MacArthur “Genius” Award, and four are Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigators. All Brandeis scholars are also active and dedicated teachers, as are the more than 300 other experts in their fields who constitute the university’s full-time faculty.

Distinguished participants in the institutes include the former president and CEO of The Stop & Shop Companies, a trial judge in New York County, a published philosopher, translator and poet, the past president of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, as well as entrepreneurs, philanthropists and members of the Brandeis Board of Trustees.
