In November 2009, Brandeis hosted a delegation of twelve Al-Quds faculty members and students to mark the culmination of the first phase of the Al-Quds-Brandeis University Partnership, funded by The Ford Foundation. The Al-Quds students stayed with Brandeis students and attended classes. The visit included a reception held at the Intercultural Center, designed to help the visting students and faculty members understand student life at Brandeis, as well as a formal conversation with faculty members.
