About Brandeis University
Brandeis, based in Waltham, Massachusetts, is a nonsectarian university with a student body of about 4,000. It was founded in 1948 by members of the American Jewish community. Brandeis combines the faculty and resources of a world-class research institution with the intimacy and personal attention of a small liberal arts college. The mission of Brandeis is to bring to higher education a unique perspective reflecting Jewish traditions of scholarship, community service, and social justice.
