Travel Funds Request
The graduate school reimburses doctoral students in the humanities, social sciences, and creative arts up to $500 per academic year so that they may present papers or serve on panels at conferences or workshops. Students covered by a grant may not be eligible for travel funds if the grant covers these expenses. Please see the form below for additional eligibility requirements and to request funding. GSAS has an accessible mailbox in Kutz Hall next to the entrance by the rear parking lot.
This form must be completed and approved before you take your trip. If you apply for conference funding after you have completed your trip, you will be added to a “wait list” and we will contact you at the end of the academic year (late May) if we have remaining funding for your trip.
GSAS is unable to provide assistance for attendance at workshops, unless you are officially presenting at or leading the workshop. A copy of or link to the program with your name in it must be included with your request form. Acceptance emails will not be approved in these situations.
To be eligible for reimbursement, students must be ABD by the end of their 6th year, cannot be on extension, cannot have an outstanding balance on their student account and cannot have a permanent/unexcused incomplete on their transcript.
