Young Alumni on the Rise
The BOLD Rising Star Award — BOLD stands for “Brandeisians of the last decade” — recognizes young alumni who are already making significant contributions to their chosen fields. This year’s winners include Anna Massefski ’17, an emergency medical services professional striving to bring more people into her field; Eric Moyal ’17, IBS MA’18, MS’22, the founder of a nonprofit combating the high cost of insulin; and Natan Odenheimer ’15, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist.

As coordinator of Maine’s EMS Explorer Program, Anna Massefski ’17 is spearheading a statewide effort to inspire people to pursue emergency medical services as a career path.

Eric Moyal ’17, IBS MA’18, MS’22, is on a mission to rein in the exorbitant cost of insulin.

Natan Odenheimer ’15, a freelance journalist at The New York Times’ Jerusalem bureau, was part of the team that earned the paper a Pulitzer Prize in International Reporting for its coverage of the Oct. 7 attacks against Israel.
