Ulka Anjaria awarded the Charles A. Ryskamp Research Fellowship

Ulka Anjaria

Ulka Anjaria, assistant professor of English, was chosen by the American Council of Learned Societies to receive the Charles A. Ryskamp Research Fellowship for her study of contemporary literature and popular culture in India. This fellowship is funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
 
"The Unfinished Bridge: Realism and Futurity in India," focuses on literature and cultural production in India since 2000 and discusses how novels, films and television engage social concerns even as the public sphere becomes increasingly gentrified.
