Ronald D. Liebowitz reflects on becoming the ninth president of Brandeis University.

I think what’s most important in my role really is celebrating and continuing the legacy that has happened here at Brandeis over the last 68 years. It’s a young university relatively speaking, and yet it has a remarkable legacy, both in terms of the quality of the faculty and also in terms of its alumni. And I think it’s the role of the leadership of an institution to maintain that legacy and also extend it forward, and that’s what I see as my charge.
