Combating climate change with the National Park Service

TRANSCRIPT

When you intern with the National Park Service in Boston, the day’s schedule is based on the changing tides of Boston Harbor. Isaiah Freedman is part of the Environmental Studies Program at Brandeis University. This summer the data he collects with the National Park Service will help preserve unique biodiversity as well as the shore of Peddocks Island.

Brandeis University's World of Work (WOW) fellowship supports undergraduate students like Isaiah who pursue unpaid summer internships. The competitive program aims to reduce financial obstacles that might preclude students from following their interests, exploring career fields, gaining new skills, and experiencing the World of Work.
