Brandeis undergraduate receives prestigious research scholarship
November 24, 2025
A Brandeis biochemistry student has been named as one of 10 undergraduates across the country to receive a prestigious biotechnology scholarship.
Uyen Bui ’27, a student in Professor Alex Johnson’s Laboratory of Microbes and Biochemistry, was recently named a D.O.O.R.S. (Development Of Our Research Scientists) scholar. The award is a mentorship and scholarship program started in 2020 through a partnership between the BioPharmaceutical Technology Center Institute and global biotechnology company Promega.
D.O.O.R.S. scholars are chosen based on their pursuit of a biotechnology-related major and career path. They agree to partner with Promega to share information on their research and collaborate on projects such as scientific posters, white papers, webinars, blog posts and other opportunities.
