Heller MBA wins accreditation

Program prepares leaders for social missions

Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management has announced  that its MBA program received accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), one of the highest designations a business degree program can earn.  The Heller MBA was accredited along with several degree programs at Brandeis’ International Business School.       Jody Hoffer Gittell

The degree programs included in this accreditation were subjected to careful scrutiny to determine the quality of the programs and their faculty. The accreditation process includes evaluating interactions between faculty and students in the classroom, how resources are managed, and how learning goals are established and achieved over time.

The Heller MBA is a 16-month program that prepares leaders to manage organizations pursuing social missions in the non-profit, for-profit, and public sectors.

“Coming so soon after the Aspen Institute’s ranking of the Heller MBA as #1 in the Boston area and #19 in the world for its integration of social impact into business decision-making, this new accreditation solidifies our positioning as a rigorous MBA that prepares students to lead organizations with a social mission,” said Program Director Jody Hoffer Gittell.

“We are delighted AACSB International has recognized that the educational experience being delivered by our faculty is of such high quality,” said Marty Wyngaarden Krauss, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Brandeis.
