A conversation with Shubha Mudgal

The classical Indian musician talks with BrandeisNOW during her MusicUnitesUS residency

The Hindustani musician Shubha Mudgal performed at a sold-out concert this past weekend in the Slosberg Music Center as part of her four-day MusicUnitesUS residency. The program, which brings a different international artist to campus each year, aims to further the appreciation of varied cultures through the global language of music. Mudgal's visit to campus comes as Brandeis is increasing its ties to her native country of India. BrandeisNOW talked with Mudgal during a rehearsal break about her music and its power to bring people together.
