Additional traffic changes to be observed Aug. 30 for returning student move-in

Upperclass undergraduate students will move into their residence halls on Tuesday, Aug. 30. Members of the Brandeis community should be aware that there will be an increase in pedestrian and vehicular traffic on campus roadways that day. Please exercise additional caution while negotiating campus roadways and paths.

The following temporary parking and traffic changes will be in place to accommodate the student move-in process.

  •
The admissions lot between Slosberg Music Center and Shapiro Admissions will be closed to faculty and staff. Students moving into the Village and Ridgewood A Residence Hall complex will be using this location as an access and staging point. Faculty and staff may park within the rear section of the Theater lot, behind Spingold Theater, on that day.

  • The front section of the Theater lot (behind Spingold Theater) closest to Ziv Quad will also be closed to faculty and staff. Students moving into Ziv Quad and Ridgewood B&C will be using this front section of the Theater lot as an access and staging point. Faculty and staff may park within the rear section of the Theater lot, as well as in the South Residence Lot, located one level below from the Theater lot. Faculty and staff who park in the Theater and South Residence lots will only be able to exit via the roadway leading down by the side of the Epstein Building to South Street. Throughout the student move-in process Tuesday, which will be underway from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., vehicles will not be permitted to exit through the Theater lot.
  •

The left side of the North Road by Cable and Reitman Hall will be closed. Faculty and staff may park within the Tower lot on that date.

Additional public safety officers and traffic monitors will be assigned to the specified locations to assist with parking and traffic. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Ed Callahan at (781) 736-4240 or via email at ecallaha@brandeis.edu.
