Summer dining options, the BBQ is back

Sure, the campus is less populated during the summer months, but dining services is working hard to keep campus gastronomy alive.

The Faculty Club BBQ is now in full swing every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a chef-tended grill on the patio. The all-inclusive buffet for $11.99 has traditional BBQ fare and additional weekly specials. Picnic-table inspired linens add summer ambiance and both indoor and outdoor seating options are available.

Items include:

  • Corn on the cob
  • Salad
  • Fresh squeezed lemonade and other beverages
  • Soup and salad bar
  • Hamburgers
  • Hot dogs
  • Black bean veggie burgers
  • Grilled chicken
  • Chicken sausages
  • Cole slaw
  • Potato salad
  • Fresh fruit

“It’s a great deal, great food and a lot of fun,” says Travis Morrow, manager of the Faculty Club.

Reservations can be made in advance, but are not required.

Desserts change weekly, says Sarah Conduragis, dining services marketing manager. Last week they featured make-your-own Chipwich and this week will be hot apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

“The BBQ on the patio is a fun way to celebrate summer, take a work break outdoors and enjoy some delicious food with coworkers and friends,” says Conduragis.
