Florence George Graves, founding director of the Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism at Brandeis University, has been chosen to be a Journalist Law School Fellow by Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. In June, she and 35 other professional journalists, selected from among 150 applicants, will attend an intensive seminar.

The fellowship's goal is to help journalists better navigate the courts and more fully understand the significance of cases and decisions within the national, regional, and local legal systems. The institute's projects focus on social justice and human rights issues, including the corporate and political misuse of power, human trafficking and modern-day slavery, and flaws in the criminal justice system.
