Brandeis mobile app updated with events and directory features

The university has released an update to its free iPhone and Android application, Brandeis Mobile. The new version will allow app users to stay on top of what’s happening at Brandeis by browsing listings from the campus calendar. Users can now also search the university directory for student, faculty and staff contact information, and call or email a person with a simple tap.

The university launched Brandeis Mobile for the iPhone and iPod touch on Dec. 9, 2011. Brandeis Mobile for Android devices was released on Aug. 1. The app is available to the public through the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store.

The Brandeis app also has links to news stories published on BrandeisNOW, an interactive campus map, and libraries of videos and photographs. There are links to mobile-friendly versions of the Athletics website, the library catalog and an emergency contacts page. The university will continue to add features over time.

For more information about the iPhone and Android app, and mobile support for other platforms, visit the Brandeis mobile applications website.

The Office of Communications and Library and Technology Services developed Brandeis Mobile with iCampus, which has developed mobile applications for more than 30 colleges and universities.
