The latest Brandeis Theater Company production, “She Stoops to Conquer,” is an 18th-century comedy of manners. At the Hardcastle country estate, two impassioned sweethearts, along with a socially ambitious stepmother and the irrepressible Tony Lumpkin, engage in a multitude of schemes and ruses in the name of love. The play, written by Oliver Goldsmith, is directed by Eric Hill.

Performances on the Mainstage Theater in the Spingold Theater Center will run from Thursday, March 29, through Sunday, April 1. There will be an 8 p.m. performance Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are $20; $15 for the Brandeis community and seniors; and $5 for students. They can be purchased through Brandeis Tickets by telephone at (781) 736-3400, online or in the Shapiro Campus Center.
