The Rose ranked among top international college art galleries

A website dedicated to college rankings, Top 10 Online Colleges, recently named The Rose Art Museum one of the 30 Most Beautiful College Art Galleries in the World.

The international list is based on qualities such as reputation, location, architecture, history and artistic culture.

Founded in 1961, Brandeis' Rose Art Museum is an educational and cultural institution dedicated to collecting, preserving and exhibiting the finest of modern and contemporary art. The Rose seeks to stimulate public awareness and disseminate knowledge of modern and contemporary art to enrich educational, cultural and artistic communities while playing an active part in campus life.

Current exhibitions at The Rose include “Ed Ruscha: Standard,” featuring work in a variety of media from the Los Angeles-based artist’s 60 year-career; “Sam Jury: Coerced Nature,” a set of painterly video installations that appear not only within the museum but around campus; and “Walead Beshty: On the Matter of Abstraction (figs. A & B),” an exhibit Beshty co-curated with Director Chris Bedford, and which includes Beshty’s own untitled mirror-and-glass floor installation.
