On Tuesday, Oct. 8, nearly 300 students, community partners, employers, alumni and Brandeis University faculty and staff kicked off the inaugural Brandeis University Year in Service and Volunteer Fair. Students explored careers and gap year, internship and volunteer opportunities with more than 50 organizations.

The year’s theme, “putting the pieces together for today, tomorrow and after graduation” invited students to learn more about how service can be an integral part of their time at Brandeis and beyond. After the fair, several students also participated in one-on-one and group informational sessions to learn more about current opportunities.

This event was co-sponsored by the Hiatt Career Center, Department of Community Service and Waltham Group.

To learn more about additional service opportunities, please contact Lucas Malo, director of community service. For more information about career development and employment and internship opportunities, please contact Caroline O’Shea, assistant director of employer relations at the Hiatt Career Center.
