Brandeis welcomed the 866 members of the Class of 2021 home as they moved into their residence halls and kicked off New Undergraduate Student Orientation.

First years and transfer students – who together come from 41 states and 21 countries around the globe – got their Brandeis journeys started in style.

One of the marquee events of orientation each year is “This is Our House,” in the Spingold Theater which features slam poetry performances by Dean of Students Jamele Adams, current students and alumni. Usman Hameedi ’12 regaled the incoming class with powerful prose entitled “Brandeis: The Original Hogwarts.”
