3C 120 (II Zw 14)

3C 120 is a Seyfert 1 radio galaxy which, at z=0.033, is the nearest example of superluminal motion. It is an OVV blazar with a highly variable optical continuum and is a powerful X-ray source. We detected robust motions of 2.22 and 1.62 mas/yr for two components (1 mas/yr corresponds to a speed of 1.5 h^-1 c).
