Orientation Schedule

GSAS Orientation will be held on Monday, August 22. Please plan to arrive at the Olin Sang Lobby between 9:15am and 9:55am for Check In and Registration. Orientation activities will begin promptly at 10:00am and conclude at 4:30 p.m.

10:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. GSAS Orientation Welcome and Introduction

Official introductions by Eric Chasalow, the GSAS Dean, and Susan Birren, the Dean of Arts and Sciences

10:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Brandeisian Bingo & Transition to Small Groups

10:30 a.m. – Noon Orientation Group Breakout & Campus Tour
Find your group leader outside of Olin Sang 101 (group number located on your name badge) 
You will break into your smaller orientation groups, led by your Orientation Leader and meet your fellow group members while going on a walking tour of campus. Be prepared to make some friends!

Noon – 1:00pm Lunch 
Olin Sang Lobby 
Grab a FREE specially prepared meal including a sandwich, chips, fruit, dessert, and drink! Hang out with your new friends around Olin Sang or the Mandel Lobby!

1:00 p.m. – 4:05 p.m. Sexual Misconduct 101: Brandeis code of conduct, campus resources, & preventing harm
Olin Sang Auditorium, Room 101 
Learn about the importance of preventing sexual misconduct at Brandeis and how you can help in your role as a graduate student. Information about relevant campus resources will be provided.

4:10 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Closing Remarks
Olin Sang Auditorium 
We will conclude the program with closing remarks and reminders about graduate student specific initiatives for the upcoming year! Please make sure to complete your evaluation at this session for a free coffee voucher! 


I-9 Forms

Staff will be available to help complete Section 2 of the I-9 during registration, lunch and from 4:30-5:00 p.m. Other activies can be found on the Graduate Student Affairs site
