Rachel Wolkinson Rubinstein and Jason Rubinstein welcomed their second son, Henry Asher, on July 3, 2012. He joins his proud big brother, Michael Aiden, who turned 4 in February. Rachel is a litigation associate at Proskauer Rose. The family resides in Potomac, Md. Jake Rubin and Dana Kaplan Rubin had a daughter, Alice Rae, on March 19. Henry, who turned 3 in July, has already proven himself to be an excellent big brother. Jake, Dana, Henry and Alice live in Washington, D.C. Emily Kurn joined Anchorage-based Thompson & Co. Public Relations, where she helps clients manage social media, writes press releases and pitches to the media. She has spent the past 15 years pursuing a career in music. Congratulations to Yanna Krupnikov, an assistant professor of political science at Northwestern University, for winning the 2013 Robert H. Durr Award from the Midwest Political Science Association for the best paper applying quantitative methods to a substantive problem in political science. Her winning paper was titled “Who Participates? Reconsidering the Relationship Between Attitudes and Actions.” Rabbi Elizabeth Bahar helped lead a community candlelight vigil for the people of Boston at Etz Chayim synagogue in Huntsville, Ala., on April 16, the day after the Boston Marathon bombings.
