"Sociology of the Urban Ghetto," because I spent much of my research time playing saxophone at  nightclubs in real urban ghettos and was able to relate to the topic on a multiplicity of levels.

Usdan Student Center, to shoot pool.

Best memory
Performing with our campus group called the Live Music Band as the warm-up act for George Benson at the Shapiro Gym.

Brandeisian(s) who most influenced your life
I'm proud of the fact that Angela Davis is an alumna of Brandeis. That definitely influenced my decision to attend the school as well as my choice of African and Afro-American studies as a major.

How do you stay connected to Brandeis today?
