(History professor) Eugene Black, who managed to make me feel smarter than I am. (Near Eastern and Judaic Studies professor) Antony Polonsky, who taught me that compassion is also an academic topic. And (anthropology professor) Robert Manners, who showed me what it's like to live a life of meaning.
