After graduating from Brandeis last May, Susanna King ’25, SBE MBA’26, knew an MBA was the next step in her academic and professional journey. She enrolled in Brandeis’ BA/MBA program, a unique 5½-year pathway that allows undergraduates to earn both a bachelor’s degree and an MBA. The program’s challenging curriculum, which blends quantitative and qualitative coursework, built directly on her undergraduate business studies while accelerating her preparation for leadership in a global business environment.

“I had taken two graduate-level courses during my senior year, so I knew I liked the teaching style and culture of the School of Business and Economics,” King explained. “The MBA program allowed me to continue to grow academically and to work with professors I knew would support me.”

That sense of continuity is paired with rigorous coursework, close mentorship and strong professional preparation. Working closely with faculty — including career coach Alice Ain Rich, a former founding HR director at multiple technology companies and a career coach with more than 20 years of experience — has given King personalized guidance, practical insight and confidence as she prepares for the next stage of her career.

“Coach Alice is phenomenal,” King said. “Being able to take her course and work with her as a career coach has provided me with substantial advice and mentorship during my time in the program.”

Brandeis has also played a key role in expanding King’s professional network and sharpening her career goals. Professors regularly bring alumni and Boston-area professionals into the classroom, creating opportunities to build connections that extend well beyond campus.

“Guest speakers provide the opportunity to connect with alumni and other Boston professionals and expand my network for the future,” King said.

As she begins her career in Boston’s Jewish nonprofit sector, King is already seeing the value of her Brandeis education. “I’ve noticed how respected Brandeis is within the community,” she said. “By earning my MBA here, I know my industry understands the value the Brandeis MBA brings.”
