Getting reconnected to Brandeis through my kids is always a fun experience. We recently attended a family alumni event at a Brandeis basketball game. My kids had their picture taken with the Ollie the Owl mascot and received all kinds of fun Brandeis stuff to take home, including coveted Silly Bandz and a ball. Each time we visit campus, they enjoy hearing stories of where I lived, where I ate or which theater I performed in. It’s even better when I can attend an event with a fellow alum they already know as my friend. It’s fun when they ask me to retell the stories each time we’re there, as if a glimpse of my college life is a magical place in their minds. I hope sharing our stories with one another through the years brings back good memories and helps us stay connected to a part of our past that had an impact on our futures.
