The MBA at Brandeis IBS
Our MBA is different because of where we are – at Brandeis University. Brandeis International Business School (IBS) is global and rigorous, yet intimate and personal. The 50-60 candidates we accept annually seek a customized education that can be shaped to their individual needs. And like Justice Louis Brandeis, they care as much about their professional effectiveness as the impact they make on the world.
- A comprehensive core curriculum delivered by outstanding teachers. Our finance team includes researchers and practitioners in banking, exchange rates, asset management, and corporate finance. Faculty in marketing, operations, strategy and organizational behavior lead thinking about consumer behavior, system dynamics, business combinations and cross-cultural communications.
- An elective curriculum customized to your individual interests. Many MBAs focus one of our nine specializations, such as Corporate Finance, Marketing or Sustainability. Others prefer to pursue a broad agenda, knitting together their own portfolio from the courses in these specializations. Either way, we will enable and encourage you to create your own path.
- Training in practical World Ready skills. You will get training in everything from business communication to data analysis in hands-on projects (some with external clients) and in our labs and workshops. Your teachers often will be seasoned executives who will show you how to think and express yourself effectively.
- A diverse student body that reflects the working world of today. Our well-known international diversity will help you develop a cosmopolitan view on global issues. We have also been cited for the leadership opportunities we offer to women and for our early commitment to sustainability in business. Our students care deeply about the world around them.
