Razel Solow, director of the Center for Gifted Studies and Education at Hunter College, City University of New York, has written “College at 13: Young, Gifted and Purposeful,” which garnered great professional reviews. Mitchell Cohen received the Maxwell Burstein Volunteer Award from Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston during the organization’s annual gala. Mitchell, principal and managing director of Gordon Brothers Group in Boston, joined the nonprofit organization’s board of directors in 1995, and became board chair in 2004. He also sits on its endowment committee. In addition, the Boston resident has been a board or committee member of Combined Jewish Philanthropies, Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s New England chapter.
