Each year the Rose had a dynamic program of guest speakers who engaged both academic audiences and the public.
These programs included Artist Talks, Inside View (curator led gallery talks), and Interdisciplinary Symposia. Recent speakers have included artists Alexis Rockman, Terry Berkovitz, Steve Miller, Odili Donald Odita, Margaret Evangaline, Kate Gilmore, Amy Granat, curator Laura Hoptman, and historian Irving Sandler
