Closing Celebration: Musical and Lyrical Contemporaries in the Galleries

Join us during the closing weekend of Passage and Tuesday Smillie: To Build Another World for an exploration of classical vocal works that were taking shape at the same time as the works of art in the exhibition.  Mezzo-soprano Katherine Growdon will perform in the galleries, a capella,  a selection of songs and arias featuring composers including  John Cage, John Harbison, Meredith Monk, Maurice Ravel, and Arnold Schönberg.

Interspersed with the musical performances will be slam poetry presentations from the Brandeis Slam Poetry Group Poetic Justice.

Please note this is not a sit-down performance, our performers will be moving throughout the galleries between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
