Open to all and free admission, the Rose Art Museum is committed to maintaining a respectful, safe, and inclusive museum experience for all our visitors.

Please observe the following guidelines to ensure the safety of the art on view and fellow guests:

  • All backpacks and bags larger than 11x14 inches must be stored in the coat closet or lockers. The Rose is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
  • Food and drink, including water bottles, are prohibited in the galleries.
  • Pencils for note-taking are available at the Front Desk. Pens, ink, and paint are not permitted.
  • Photography without flash is permitted for personal, nondistributional, or noncommercial use. Selfie-sticks, tripods, or video cameras are not allowed.
  • Service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, are welcome.
  • Children under 14 are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
  • Please do not touch or disturb the objects in the galleries. Thank you for respecting the works of art on view.

Directions to the Rose

Take exit 123 for I-95/Rt 128. Keep left for 95/128 North. While on the ramp, exit immediately onto exit 39A for Route 30. Bear left onto Route 30. Turn right at the first traffic light onto River Road. Follow this for two miles (during which River Road becomes South Street). Brandeis is on the left at 415 South Street.

When you enter campus through the main entrance, take a left. You will pass the Admissions Center and the round Spingold Theater Center, both on your left. Continue past the Spingold Theater Center; the Rose Art Museum will be on your left, with Chris Burden's Light of Reason gracing the front lawn. See the Rose on the university's interactive map for more information.

Take exit 123B for Weston, Rte. 30. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Park Road. At the traffic light, turn right onto Route 30. Turn left at the next traffic light onto River Road. Follow this for two miles (during which River Road becomes South Street). Brandeis is on the left at 415 South Street.

Commuter train service is available from North Station (Boston) and Porter Square (Cambridge), Fitchburg/South Acton line, to the Brandeis/Roberts Station that borders the campus.

Parking at the Rose

The Rose Art Museum offers free parking to all its visitors.

Visitors can find parking in the Rose circle at the front of the museum. If the Rose circle is full, visitors must obtain a parking pass from the museum's front desk. Visitors can then park in the Theatre Parking Lot behind the Spingold Theater Center.
