Usdan Student Center
Phase 2 Renovation
The first phase of work in the renovation of the Usdan Student Center began in June 2004 and was completed in January 2005. This first phase involved the creation of a portion of the planned one-stop student services center, identified by Jean Eddy, Senior Vice President for Students and Enrollment, as the highest priority for the Usdan Student Center. The one-stop center is designed to provide students with convenient, single-point access to a full range of student administrative services. A new home for Student Financial Services was created on the second floor of Usdan and a new location for the Office of Residence Life was created on the first floor. The lower lobby was renovated to become the New International Lounge (the old International Lounge was replaced by the central one-stop area). Elaine Construction provided construction management for this project. The first phase of renovation of the Usdan Student Center was completed in January 2005 (see project website).
The second phase of renovation of the Usdan Student Center and the creation of the one-stop student services center was completed in late 2006 and the Student Academic Services group moved into their new home on December 21, 2006. With the completion of this project, combined services have now been established, with Student Financial Services and Student Academic Services together constituting the one-stop student services center in Usdan Student Center.
