Lindsay Gardner was named to the strategic advisory board at IZEA, a pioneer in native advertising and marketing, powering sponsorships across platforms like Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest with its family of 750,000-plus registered social influencers. Lindsay has 25 years of executive management and leadership experience at companies ranging from technology startups to the world’s largest media and entertainment companies. He currently serves as senior adviser to Oaktree Capital Management, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm with $80 billion under management. Karen Binder, P’11, joined Fox Rothschild as a partner in its New York land use and zoning practice. She was formerly senior counsel at Wachtel Missry, where she successfully obtained land use approvals and represented developers and nonprofit entities in judicial challenges to such approvals. She also drafted several groundbreaking community benefits agreements on behalf of community groups and developers. Karen earlier spent seven years as general counsel to the Board of Standards and Appeals, New York City’s zoning board. An article by Mitchell Friedman about the Pike Place Fish Market was published in a new book, “Collaboration and Peak Performance.” He serves as associate dean of student affairs and career development at Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco. Steven Pradell has moved his law office to a new location in Anchorage, Alaska. The office is now in a house first built in 1937 and recently remodeled to look much like an East Coast home. His practice is primarily in the areas of family law and personal injury. On Oct. 9, 2013, David Arons and his wife, Lynn Brandes, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Special thanks are due Janis (Miller) Lightman ’83, who in 1986 hosted a Shabbat dinner at which the couple met. Since 1993, David and Lynn have lived in Sharon, Mass. David is an attorney with Issadore & Arons, and Lynn is an optometrist who practices in Braintree and Needham.
