Shira Kaiserman graduated from the two-year World Confederation of Jewish Community Centers’ Global Fellows Program. In partnership with UJA-Federation of New York, the Jewish Agency for Israel and PresenTense, the program is aimed at developing Jewish Community Center global leaders and social entrepreneurs. During her fellowship, Shira developed the first-ever international Taglit-Birthright Israel trip for young professionals from New York, Argentina and Israel, to bring together Jews from different backgrounds. The inaugural trip took place in June 2013. Trip provider Israel Outdoors is hosting another joint Argentinian-American experience this winter, open to all applicants in North America. Congratulations to Jenny Paul, who was honored as the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Musical (“The Holy Cows of Credence, South Dakota”) at Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, an eco-friendly/socially conscious arts festival in New York. Laura Bonaccorsi married Brandon Sciarra on July 20, 2013, at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Merrimack, N.H. Hana Akselrod served as a bridesmaid. Samuel Rauhala, Joshua Klindienst ’08 and Matthew Goldberg ’94 attended. Laura is pursuing her PhD in neuroscience at Brown University, and Brandon is a middle-school band director in the Cambridge, Mass., public schools. After a honeymoon in Belize, the couple returned to their new home in Attleboro.
