Lee Bloom and Melissa Gorenkoff won’t make it to their fifth Reunion, but they have a good reason. They are getting married on June 6. After teaching English at the College of Medicine in Montpellier, France, for two years, Geoffrey Cohen is pursuing a master’s degree in the commerce of wine at the Université de Montpellier. Marnina Cowan and Seth Coburn were married on Nov. 2, 2014, in Baltimore. Jessica Fialkoff married Zack Kuperwaser on Nov. 8, 2014, in New York City. Rebecca Fisher married Jason Symonds on Oct. 26, 2014, in Huntington Beach, Calif. The couple met while in graduate school at Duke University. They now live in Washington, D.C. Ezra Fishman is pursuing his doctorate in demography at Penn. He recently published a paper on diabetes prevalence and incidence in the United States. His wife, Nicki Brodie ’09, is doing her pediatrics residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, in Philadelphia. Ezra writes, “She is working very hard but loving it.” Debra Fricano completed the requirements for her master’s degree in Jewish experiential education from the Jewish Theological Seminary and is teaching teens in various pluralistic organizations. Miriam Ganem-Rosen, MA’11, and Cory Julie ’07, were engaged in November and are planning to marry in the fall in Washington, D.C. They are thankful to Amanda Hecker for the introduction! Jason Gray, MA’11, and Jackie Feinberg are engaged and will be married on Nov. 7 in Philadelphia. Jonathan Kane took four months off to travel around the world, and was joined in Southeast Asia by Aaron Finegold ’09. Jonathan will begin law school at Fordham in the fall. Molly Katancik and David Fried ’06 were married on Aug. 10, 2014, in West Orange, N.J. Anna Kaufman joined Toastmasters, a global organization that improves public speaking and leadership skills. She is president of the Toastmasters chapter at her workplace, Sun Life Financial, and plans to start a Toastmasters club on the Brandeis campus (alumni should contact her if they’re interested in joining). Brian Lerner is engaged to Johanna Lee Wickemeyer ’12. Brian, who graduated from Albany Medical College, is doing his residency in family medicine at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, in Virginia. Jessica Levin will marry Spencer Rittner in August. Jessica just started a dual MPP/MBA in nonprofit management at the Heller School. Spencer is a family medicine resident at Cambridge Health Alliance. Meghan McHale married Chris Dangremond ’07 on Dec. 13, 2014, in Reading, Pa.
