Josh Alexander was named chair of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. During his 23-year career in Chapel Hill, Josh has also served as director of pediatric rehabilitation at the UNC Children’s Hospital and medical director of the UNC Center for Rehabilitation Care. Barbra Barth Feldman, P’12, is the founder of YourCollegeChoice, an internationally recognized college-consulting company. In February, Jonathan Harris launched his gubernatorial campaign in Connecticut. His platform includes support for paid family leave and pay equity for women as well as investments in job-training programs to encourage young people to settle in the state. An attorney, Jonathan previously served as West Hartford’s mayor. Dawn Weisenberg LaFontaine recently launched a new business called Cat in the Box (“for cats who love boxes, and people who love cats”). Box designs include the Mega Milk Carton and the Monster Cheese Wedge. Since launching in January, the company and its products have been featured on designboom.com (a daily web magazine), in the Sunday edition of The Boston Globe and on the Product Hunt website. Paula Shoyer has released her fourth cookbook, “The Healthy Jewish Kitchen,” featuring healthy versions of traditional Jewish food and desserts. She is giving cooking demonstrations and talks across the U.S. Daniel Thomas was appointed head of the political science department at Leiden University in the Netherlands, where he has been professor of international relations since 2013.
